Veterans for Indiana Endorse Destiny Wells for Attorney General

INDIANAPOLIS — Veterans for Indiana today announced the endorsement of Destiny Wells for Indiana Attorney General. Indiana Democrats will nominate their candidates for Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General at their state convention on July 13, 2024.

"We are excited to make our first endorsement and to support Destiny Wells for Attorney General,” said Veterans For Indiana chairperson, Blythe Potter. “In addition to being a Veteran, Destiny has the experience necessary to be an Attorney General that works for the people, not pushing an ideological agenda. We have seen Destiny reaching out to all communities in our great state and know that she will stand up for what is right and always support the Veteran community. “

“Veterans For Indiana is a new political action committee dedicated to helping Veterans get elected in Indiana,” Potter stated. “Across the state, there are Veterans running as Democrats and it’s important to support their efforts and show our communities that both sides of the aisle are represented by Veterans. I believe we are better off when Veterans take their leadership experience and bring it to elected office.”

“I am honored to have the endorsement of an organization that recognizes what military veterans have to offer the political process,” stated Destiny Wells. “Running for office is an extension of what many military veterans have committed their lives to—service to their community. Rest assured, veterans will get the job done if we empower them to be elected.” Wells previously served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Indiana Office of the Attorney General and Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Indianapolis. Wells is a decorated combat veteran with over twenty years of public service at the local, state, federal, and multinational levels.

“We need more Veterans in politics, we need more young people, and we need more female representation in politics,” said Potter. “We need people who can make logical, safe, and ethical decisions for the common good.  We also need more veterans who have sworn to uphold our freedoms, rights, and the Constitution in our political landscape.  It is my belief that there is no one better qualified for Indiana’s Attorney General nomination than Destiny Wells. She has earned the inaugural endorsement of Veterans For Indiana.”
